Ian has been the PwC Vietnam Senior Partner for the last 8 years and a PwC partner for 21 years. He has 34 years professional experience, 30 of which have been with PwC, working for 20 years in the UK, 2 in the Sultanate of Oman, 3 in southern Africa and 8 in Vietnam. Ian has extensive knowledge of, and experience in advisory and audit support for clients in many different sectors such as insurance, banking, investment management and service and manufacturing industries.

Ian advises foreign companies on investment and trading opportunities in Vietnam and is adviser and auditor to several of the larger investors in the country. In addition, he is the lead audit partner and adviser to 4 major institutions and companies on the Vietnam Stock Exchanges. Advice to local institutions includes on corporate governance, listing overseas and developing their accounting and financial reporting.

Ian has spoken at many seminars and conferences, particularly in Vietnam and the UK and written many articles on subjects such as corporate governance, issues for foreign investors to consider in Vietnam, International Financial Reporting Standards and foreign currency accounting and taxation matters. Ian was chairman of the British Business Group of Vietnam from 2002 to 2006.
